He’s lied again!  No big surprise there, but for all Trump’s statements about protecting Medicare, changes are planned.  Big changes.  Bad changes.  Medicare will be shifting to a system requiring seniors to get prior authorization for some services. Who is responsible for the authorizations?  AI, what could possibly go wrong?  Oh, and how will these AI companies be paid for their service?  By taking a percentage of the value of the claims they deny.  Yep, they are incentivized for rejecting services. 

Call your elected officials on behalf of yourself, your parents, your grandparents, all the people who rely on Medicare for their healthcare and wellbeing. Use the script below.

I'm calling because I’m deeply concerned about the recent decision to use AI to determine whether Medicare recipients receive coverage for medical procedures and even more disturbing, that awards those AI companies financially for denying procedures.

This is not just wrong, and it’s dangerous. Denying people life-saving care through an automated system puts lives at risk and treats our most vulnerable neighbors like data points instead of human beings. We should never incentivize denying care. We should be focused on supporting and protecting our communities.

I'm asking you to speak out and take action against this inhumane policy. Please fight to ensure that decisions about health care remain in the hands of qualified professionals, not algorithms, and that every person has a fair chance at the care they need.
